Your 2011 NBA All-Defensive Teams

The NBA announced earlier today the All-Defensive first and second teams. Leading the pack is defensive player of the year himself Dwight Howard. Joining Howard are Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, who both tied MJ and Gary Payton for the most All-Defensive First Team for their ninth time. Rajon Rondo and LeBron James round up the First Team.

The second team consisted of  Joakin Noah of Chicago, Tyson Chandler of Dallas, Chris Paul of New Orleans, Andre Iguodala of Philly, and Tony Allen of Memphis.

I think Kobe shouldn't be in the first team. Dwyane Wade is a much defender than him at this point overall and I would swap Chris Paul to Rondo's spot.

In the second team. I don't think Noah deserves in there. Serge Ibaka would have been a much deserving player, remember he leads the league in block shots at 4 plus blocked shots a game.  Though I admire Tony Allen's defense I don't think it qualifies him of a spot in the second team.

Video: Oh! LeBron!!

Just a reminder, LeBron James is 6-foot-9, 270-pound freak. Karl Malone was about the same size.

AWARD WATCH: All-NBA Teams

We are nearing the end of the regular season, I think we should try to pick our All-NBA teams. I know there is about 10 games or more left but what the heck I'm giving out my teams. I don't know how this PER rating is but it looks as though I can based my teams  on this.

                                    1st Team                               2nd Team

PG                              Derrick Rose                             Chris Paul
SG                             Dwyane Wade                           Kobe Bryant
SF                             LeBron James                           Kevin Durant
PF                             Kevin Love                             Amar'e Stoudemire
C                               Dwight Howard                        Tim Duncan

You know what, since I'm feeling generous, I'll thrown in my All-Defense Team as well:

                                     1st Team

PG                              Chris Paul
SG                             Dwyane Wade
SF                             Ron Artest
PF                             Kevin Garnett
C                               Dwight Howard

2011 NBA All-Star Weekend Predictions for all Events

Its the annual midseason event of the NBA. This year, the All-Star will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. When you think of LA, its automatic, your're thinking about the Lakers. However, Kobe Bryant is not the only the brightest star in Tinseltown. Move over Laker Show, BlakeShow has arrived. Yes, I's speaking of the phenom, Blake Griffin. It's going be all Blake Griffin the whole weekend. Not only that he will be participating for the Sprite Slam-Dunk Contest, but he will be also suit up for the Rookie-Sophomore Game, as well as the main event, the All-Star Game itself.

Here are my predictions for the events happening this weekend. These are not analyst type predictions, but just a common man's pick. I will also be previewing some of the events including all the participants.

Dwyane Wade should be the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins

Check this out! I mean this one is on the books, may a record for longest alley-oop play in the NBA approximately 90 feet.  And I thought the Golden State's alley-oop was great with Steph Curry and Dorell Wright, but this beats them all. This is what you get when you ahve both of these players.
