NBA Trade Deadline Recap

IT has been a crazy trade deadline. I think it's the most busiest trade deadline in recent history of the NBA. Trades really shook the NBA landscape in just 2 days. Power shifted to the East headlined by Melo-to-Knicks. Here is a quick rundown of all the trades made before the trade deadline, and uhmm one that didn't make it.

Its started with Chicago sending James Johnson to Toronto Raptors for a 1st-round draft pick.

Then the biggest of them all, Carmelo Anthony along with Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, Shelden Williams, Renaldo Balkman were shipped to the New York Knicks in exchange for Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mosgov, 2014 first-round draft pick, and cash. New York Knicks also sent Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph to Minnesota Timberwolves for Corey Brewer. Denver also recieved Kosta Koufos from the Wolves.

The second biggest trade came through with the Knicks rival across Hudson River, the New Jersey Nets, not to be outdone, made some noise by trading for All-Star guard Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz in exchage for rookie Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, a first round pick, and $3 million. After losing coach Sloan from reported rift with Williams, the Jazz eventually part ways with Williams himself. Sad day for Mormonville and they can say goodbye to their playoff hopes.

In a separate trade, the Nets also sent forward Troy Murphy for Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Knight of the Warriors. This is clearly cap space clearing for the Nets.

The NBA-owned New Orleans Hornets traded guard Marcus Thornton for Carl Landry of Sacramento Kings.

The Hawks and Wizards swapped guards Mike Bibby and Kirk Hinrich. Wizards also receives Mo Evans and Jordan Crawford while the Hawks get Hilton Armstrong.

Baron Davis will no longer passing alley-oop to Blake Griffin as the Clippers send him to rathole Cleveland Cavs for Mo Williams, Jamario Moon, and a pick.

During the last few hours of the deadline, the Boston Celtics stunned the league by sending starting center Kendrick Perkins to OKC for Jeff Green and center Nenad Krstic. The Thunder also got diminutive ex-slam dunk champ Nate Robinson.

Danny Ainge isn't done yet. He also sent backup center Semih Erden and Luke Harangody to the Cavs for a couple of 2nd-round picks.

Thats not the it, though, he also shipped Marquis Daniels to the Kings for cash considerations.

The Houston Rockets traded Aaron Brooks for the Suns backup point guard Goran Dragic and a 1st rounder. In a separate deal, Rockets also sent forward Shane Battier and Ish Smith back to Memphis for center Hasheem Thabeet and a 1st round pick. I don't know how the fans will react as these are two fan favorites in Houston.

Micheal Jordan finally cleared up cap space as he send All-Star forward and their only true star Gerald Wallace to Portland for center Joel Pryzbilla, Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks, and two first round picks. Portland had a steal here as the snagged an All-Star and the 'Cats well they have cap space.

The Bobcats also gets center Nazr Mohammed from Oklahoma City for DJ White and Morris Peterson.

So thats it. It has been one crazy trade deadline. GMs got busy from the start. I still cannot grade all of this ass we still have to see the results of these trades.
